One screen, one host. Everyone plays off the same display — a laptop, a TV, or a tablet on the table. Teams answer out loud; nobody else needs to open the site or join anything.
Set Up Teams
2 to 6 teams — the host enters everyone’s names here.
Difficulty
Questions still get harder as the point values go up — this sets the overall level.
Friendly scoring
For mixed groups: a wrong answer costs nothing, and every team can still wager in the final round. Keeps a rusty player or a first-time visitor from finishing deep in the negatives.
Off. A wrong answer costs the tile’s value and opens the question up for another team to steal. Only teams above zero can wager in the final round. This is how the TV show plays it.
Answer clock
How long a team gets once a question is up. You can pause it any time during a question, whatever you pick here.
How to Play
- The host runs the board. Everyone watches the one screen.
- Host picks a team to start.
- That team calls out a category and point value; the host taps it.
- The question appears for the whole room.
- First team to answer out loud gets the shot.
- Wrong? The question opens up — any team that hasn't tried can steal it, but a wrong steal costs them too.
- Correct = points earned. Incorrect = the same number of points lost.
- Winning team picks the next tile.
- Round 2: fresh categories, harder questions, double points.
- Watch for Bonus Tiles.
- Final Round: each team wagers up to their score.
Host Tips
- Use physical buzzers, bells, raised hands, or your best "I saw that hand first" judgment.
- Choose one spokesperson per team so the host gets one clear answer.
- For quieter groups, have every team write answers on a whiteboard and reveal them at the same time.
- Set the answer clock to suit your group, hit Pause mid-question whenever the room needs it, or turn the clock off entirely.
- Running long? Use “End round early” under the board to jump straight to the next round.
